SÉAMUS MAYNARD

Meet Séamus Maynard

Rock ‘N’ Folk

Séamus Maynard is a singer-songwriter whose music bridges folk, rock, and Celtic influences, with roots in storytelling and acoustic guitar traditions. Drawing from decades of performance and a rich background in duo and solo work, Seamus crafts songs that speak to the quiet weight of human experience.

Collaborative History

Launching his music as a solo act comes as an extension of Séamus’s longtime collaboration with musical partner Meaghan Witri, the other half of Meg and Séamus (formerly Living Roots). The duo continues to develop their music together alongside Séamus’s solo work — for him, the bucket of inspiration for both projects draws from the same well.

Earlier in his musical journey, Séamus was a founding member of Quiet in the Head, a violin, cello, and guitar trio that composed original instrumental music blending jazz, classical, tango, gypsy, Middle Eastern, and experimental influences — a formative chapter that shaped his musical path.

Musical Style: Rock 'N' Folk

Séamus describes his music as Rock ‘N’ Folk—a playful nod to his fusion of folk-rooted storytelling and rock-influenced intensity.

With echoes of acoustic grunge, Americana grit, and melodic Celtic undertones, his songs offer both intimacy and depth. Whether performing a stripped-down guitar piece or a full-bodied ballad, Séamus creates music that feels both grounded and timeless.
